Nike Air Force

Basketball players from high schools to the NBA wore Nike Air Force 1s in their debut season. Only a few years after its release, the AF1 lost its performance edge, but found new life in the streets. The chunky appeal of the AF1 was embraced by cities like Baltimore and New York, and now, nearly 40 years later, it is a street culture icon. Nike continued to deploy Air Force technology on new models beyond the Air Force 1. The Nike Air Force 2 and Air Force 180, outside of the original, are the Force family's most recognisable models.
